GH: Valetine's Day Supercouple Marathon

Below are my summaries of the first two episodes that aired on SoapNet's General Hospital marathon that aired on February 10, 2013. Thanks goes to LoriJoGH for sharing the episodes for those of us who no longer receive the channel.

Episode One: February 16, 1994

Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) is trying to buy a car and Sonny (Maurice Benard) interrupts the transaction. She is buying it for herself as a Valentine's gift. Sonny stays with the car dealer and gets a deal. Alone Brenda has a fantasy about Sonny based on her magazine ad.

Luke (Tony Geary) and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) have a special Valentine's surprise for Laura (Genie Francis) with a trivia game. aura ends up getting a stove, then a dishwasher. Lucky was given a tape player, as he got a trivia question correct too. They showed us a flashback to Luke and Laura the night before they were married, on the docks, and he got her a refrigerator. Lucky left because he couldn't deal with their romance. Laura and Luke get frisky, she offers to wear nothing but an apron. Luke tells her to get some ice out of the refrigerator. There are diamond earrings in the ice. They are interrupted by Sonny and Laura was not happy about it. They talk about Frank, as the show ends.

Mac (John J. York) comes in with his arm in a sling, Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) explains how Maxie is sick. Mac and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) are happy and together. Felicia bought Mac some shares in the Outback. Mac gets upset over Felicia's present, they are interrupted by a delivery of a teddy bear from Frisco. Maxie (Robyn Richards) comes down and seems to love her new bear that she names Frisco after her father.

Lois (Rena Sofer) and Ned (Wally Kurth) have a photo shoot. While along they become intimate. Words of love are shared, and he convinces her that he isn't going anywhere.

Episode Two: Tuesday 14, 1995

Tiffany (Sharon Wyatt) whispers her news to Steve (John Bernadino) and Audrey (Rachel Ames), and even shares it with gossip Amy (Shell Kepler). Jason (Steve Burton) and Ned give their grandmother Lila (Anna Lee) some gifts on Valentine's Day. Reginald, the butler (Stephen Kay) also makes a card for Lila. Edward (John Ingle) then comes in with a huge box of chocolates for his wife. Jason is leaving to see Keisha (Senait Ashenafi) at the Outback, while Ned is going to meet Lois. Even Annabelle has love as Foster is outside waiting for her. Edward though shoos him away, even though Annabelle is pregnant with Foster's puppies. While Lila is alone with Annabelle, Foster is still waiting for her. Annabelle stands on the back of Lila's wheelchair and she relents letting the dogs be together.

Sonny is on a bed in his robe, Brenda tells Sonny to unwrap her as she is in Valentine's Day paper. Sonny and Brenda are in afterglow. She gave him a pocket watch and then Sonny surprised her with a gift for her.

At the Outback, Miguel (Ricky Martin), Sean (John Reilly), Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Mac are at the bar. Lily (Lily Melgar) is also there. Lucy (Lynn Herring) comes with a present for Kevin with a signed book. Sean is overjoyed about Tiffany's pregnancy and buys a celebratory drink for everyone except Tiffany. Kevin gives Lucy her duck that she dubs Sigmund and diamonds. Mac gives a speech for Sean and Tiffany. Keisha gives Jason a present, a glove, that she knitted, while Jason gives her a Monet painting from Paris. The episode ends with Tiffany telling Sean that she forgot to get him a Valentine's Day present, but he tells her that she already has.

Ned gets Lois special cheesecake and is stunned with a ruby ring. Lois gives Ned a framed picture of the Cyclone amusement park ride on Coney Island.

Katherine (Mary Beth Evans) and Damien (Leigh McCloskey) are together, he gets her a briefcase, while she purchased a letter opener. They talk about how they are going to bankrupt Lucy's company Deception.

These episodes from 1994 & 1995 were actually about Valentine's Day and very enjoyable. While I wasn't a fan of every couple on screen at the time, I felt they did a good job spreading around the wealth and allowing different people to show their joy.

Summaries of the January 17, 2005, May 29, 2006 and December 23, 2011 (Lulu and Dante's wedding) are available elsewhere online. Visit tvmegasite.net to find out the details of these episodes or watch them at LoriJo's YouTube channel.
