This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.

B&B: Liam Chose Steffy
On Tuesday, February 26, 2013, Liam (Scott Clifton) told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that he chose her and their unborn child. At the end of Monday's episode, he told Hope (Kim Matula) his decision.
Liam has been torn between Steffy and Hope, but the pregnancy caused him to act. He had planned on selecting which woman he wanted, but a baby was the game changer. Liam told Hope that growing up all he remembered was that his father wasn't there and he couldn't be the man he should be if he allowed that to happen with his child. The fetus was conceived in love, unlike what he felt happened with Amber, so this was the right thing to do. Hope's mother Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy's mother Taylor (Hunter Tylo) saw when Liam told Steffy what was going on with him.
I'm not sure what to think with this latest development, as I'm not certain if Liam would have made the same choice if there was no baby in the picture. The one thing Steffy didn't want was Liam choosing her solely due to the pregnancy, but the scenes played somewhat ambiguously.
I hope for now the triangle is put on the back burner, and Liam sticks with Steffy. If in the future, Liam and Hope reunite, I hope it isn't because Steffy has a miscarriage. People staying together for the sake of a child is very old-fashioned, but hopefully Liam and Steffy will have more than that kind of relationship.
