Days: Ciara and Theo are Rescued

On Days of Our Lives, Ciara Brady and Theo Carver ran away and were rescued by Rafe’s double. This entry is about that recent plot.

Ciara saw her parents’ marriage fall apart, and blamed herself. They only started fighting after she had been kidnapped, so she must be a bad girl. Instead of talking to Bo and Hope, she planned to run away. Her best friend and partner in crime, Theo would not let her go by herself. While he loves his mom and dad and wasn’t angry with them, he was on Ciara’s side no matter what.

So Ciara and Theo tried more than once to leave. Finally they saw a gardener’s truck on Ciara’s street. They got camping gear and got in the back of it. When the truck stopped, they were in Centerville and went into the woods. The phone rang more than once and each time Theo wouldn’t answer it because Ciara told him not to do so. This was especially scary after Ciara passed out after hitting her head on a rock. Nothing happened after that, so thankfully it looks like that was not a serious injury.

When they ran out of cookies, they went into town and met a runaway named Leah. The girl gave them food for Ciara’s necklace. The kids went back to their tent, but not before Leah talked with them about their lives. The cops picked up Leah for skipping school and the police recognized the necklace. Bo and Hope rushed to Centerville to talk to the girl. When she realized who Hope was, she understood why Ciara would want to runaway.

Bo listened to Leah who said the kids went back to the woods. He found them with Rafe’s double who was planning on leaving Salem for good. Theo and Rafe2 don’t get along, as Rafe2 wanted Theo to lie.

Ciara and Bo had a happy reunion. Then she got to see her mom again. Finally Bo and Hope were able to share their happy news with their daughter, that they are reconciled and are a family again. There would be no divorce.

Theo was glad to be with his mom and dad as he missed them. He was a good and loyal friend to Ciara. When Bo said that, I thought that is so like his father. After Theo and Ciara were back in Salem, there was a small party for the kids, their parents and Rafe. They had cupcakes. Even though they were home safely, Theo still didn’t like fake Rafe.

This situation caused strong reactions and brought out the best and worst out of Ciara’s and Theo’s families. The dueling grandpas (Victor and Stefano) tried to assign blame and wanted to interfere. Thankfully they listened to Bo and let the police do their work.

Watching this material, seeing Ciara be so assertive and strong reminded me of her parents. It isn’t as if Bo and Hope never went on the run. I just was surprised they had this story with both Ciara and Theo being under the age of 10. Though at this age we didn’t have to contend with a possible romance between the two.
