Due to hearings in the Senate, the US soaps weren't on every day. Below is what was and wasn't on in daytime.
If
you lived somewhere that had the hearings on, NBC offered a few
options, hope your local affiliate was airing "Days of Our Lives" on a
separate station, or overnight, skip it or via on demand. They didn't
postpone any of their episodes.
CBS didn't air "The
Young and the Restless", every day, in all markets, but decided to make episodes available regardless of what was going on in the news. "The Bold and the Beautiful" was preempted on Wednesday the 29, but was partially or fully available the other days in some markets or online most notably Friday.
ABC didn't air "General Hospital", on Monday the 27 or Tuesday the 28, but decided to make episodes online regardless of whether or not it was on starting on Tuesday without a password. So anyone with US access could watch in the evenings (after it aired in the west) even if it didn't air.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
