Christmas in Soapland 2019

Soapland's 2019 Christmas was postponed due to hearings in Congress, below are some thoughts.

The Bold and the Beautiful only had mentions of Christmas Day, (which aired after the holiday), and the day before Christmas was shown when they were trimming the tree and getting ready. It was a bit sad with no singing, no special events, or cast breaking the fourth wall and an appearance of Lee Bell.

Days of Our Lives had Eve and Hattie get out of jail. Abby proved that Eve didn't toss Jennifer over the balcony. Kassie DePaiva left Days again as Eve left town, which was Jack and Jennifer's Christmas present as she shared that news at the Horton ornament hanging. Xander and Sarah spent Christmas past together, but this year Sarah was with Eric and the baby out of town. Gabi and Eli were getting closer. On the Christmas Day episode, Ciara visited Will, but really wanted to see Ben. Marlena helped Ciara and Ben see teach other. Kayla and Roman spent some time together, and Kayla was still missing Steve. She saw him as Stefano, as Santa Claus at the hospital. Sonny and Ari spent the holiday with his new man Evan.

General Hospital had a special holiday themed show before the holidays, and then was preempted. It was based on "A Christmas Carol", it was nice to see Monica read the holiday stories. Finn was Scrooge, and he realized the importance of the holiday. Tracy came back to Port Charles for Christmas, and the Q mansion set was changed. Sam got out of prison on parole and could spend the holidays with Scout and Danny. Curtis played Santa Claus in the park, Violet misses her mother who is still on the run.

The Young and the Restless had the Abbotts back together at Christmas including a visiting Ashley from Paris and Dina was taken out of the home. Fen returned to see his parents Michael and Lauren. Traci sings for her family, and the others join in with her. Adam and Chelsea spend part of the holiday with Connor, and a found kitten. Chloe tells Kevin they are having another child. A baby was found in the Newman stables, the mother was located, and ends up getting help from New Hope.

Having the Christmas episodes (except for Days) pushed so much made it an odd Christmas in soapland.
