Due to hearings in the Senate, the US soaps weren't on every day. Below is what was and wasn't on in daytime.
If you lived somewhere that had the hearings on, NBC offered a few options, hope your local affiliate was airing "Days of Our Lives" on a separate station, or overnight, skip it or via on demand. They didn't postpone any of their episodes.
CBS didn't air "The Young and the Restless" every day and some episodes were pushed. Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday January 22 - Thursday, January 23 had a partial preemption. The show was on other days, but not in all markets. "The Bold and the Beautiful" was only on Monday, while every other episode was preempted.
ABC didn't air "General Hospital", four out of the five days. It was only on Monday, January 20.
