Thoughts about "Hollyoaks" - November 2019

Below are my thoughts on November 2019's "Hollyoaks" - this is not sequential.

The grooming/Ste being racist story came to a close. Stuart was pushed over a cliff by his son, Sid, Johnny left, and Ste moved to Newcastle, as he had been planning. Stuart had kidnapped Ste and Leela followed seeing what happened. This went on after Sami didn't marry Sinead, she didn't return to the village, and then Ste's whereabouts were revealed. Sami tried to help in the aftermath of Stuart's death. Misbah was out of town for a bit, but returned for the wedding that didn't happen. Yaz made a new friend in Finn, which horrified everyone who knows his past. Finn though is the only person who treats Yaz as a person while ignoring her disability.

The beginning of the month saw the departure of Cleo (the actress had a child, no idea if she is returning, with the UK giving a year maternity leave we'll see.) Cleo found out that again she dated someone who was hiding their sexuality (first Harry and now Mitchell.) She was upset, but decided to finish her nursing work outside the village. Her last scenes were with Joel (who in real life is her partner.)

Breda continued looking over Tony at the pig farm when she could. Edward was there for Diane and the kids, but Finn hated him. Everyone though had the shock of finding out that Mercy was responsible for running over Grace. This came out during the event Harry's memorial service, and James freaked out, so much that Marnie drugged him. Mercy was shot, and was in a coma for much of the month. Once she woke up, she pointed the finger at her husband Sylver as she realized he was cheating on her with Grace. Sylver was arrested for a crime he seemingly didn't commit as he was sleeping with Grace the night that Mercy was injured.

James surprised Marnie by buying her the coffee shop left vacant by Stuart's death. Liam was dealing with the fallout of Mercy's shooting. Maxine returned to town, as did Damon (who was released from prison.) Maxine is not well yet emotionally. Brody and Sienna had issues, but reunited. Liberty was upset finding out that Sienna's last egg would not work, and hadn't told her sister yet.

Walter was well enough to get out of the hospital. Mitchell and Scott started seeing each other. Mitchell got rid of his apartment, as he couldn't face the idea of living with Scott, as he is not out to his family. Romeo and Juliet didn't have too much action beyond Juliet liking Sid.

Cindy and Luke got back together, and are now engaged. Darren hit Luke, and Luke found out he was sick, but isn't doing anything about it. Ollie was upset over Brooke giving up the baby even to Brody and Sienna though he eventually told her the opposite. Ollie thinks once the baby arrives Brooke will change her mind. He feels that he could raise the baby on his own like Tom, but it won't come to that.  Nancy and Kyle got back together after he returned to town. Their son overheard Nancy and Darren discuss how they had sex in the rubble.

Those were the highlights for Hollyoaks in November 2019. I am glad that everyone finally knows how Grace was rundown in the street. That secret was kept for a long time for Hollyoaks.
