On "The Bold and the Beautiful", Katie needed a kidney transplant, after falling ill again. Below are my thoughts.
Katie was sick and would die eventually without a transplant, and a donor that was unrelated would be a long wait. Brooke and Donna were out, and they thought there were no other options. Flo decided to get tested due to her mother's prodding. She was a match, but neither of the women shared what was going on until afterwards.
Katie was shocked by who it was, while her other biological family were glad Katie would probably be better, but didn't feel like they could forgive Flo regardless for her other crimes against the family. Other than a few days in holding and some guilt, she didn't pay for lying about being baby Beth's mother. So Flo did this for "nothing" other than the satisfaction of saving someone else's life.
