B&B: Douglas

The fight over Douglas took a turn with the Logans and Foresters on opposite sides on "The Bold and the Beautiful".

Douglas' father Thomas has issues, and Hope and Liam were watching the boy. He was living on the property, but not in the main house with his great-grandfather, or with his grandfather. The situation IMO is weird, as Douglas has a lot of closer extended family than Hope and Liam (his father's wife for less than three months, and his late mother's first cousin.) Why aren't other people fighting for Douglas, like his grandmothers who live in NY, Ridge or Eric?

While I think Hope raising Douglas is not needed, he should be taken care of by his extended family. I'm glad he left, though equating Hope losing Douglas who is a child, to what happened with baby Beth is way too far. Having Brooke wanted Hope to adopt Douglas doesn't make sense to me. Why because it isn't as if she hates Ridge or Eric? It would have made more sense for her to push for Ridge to get temporary custody of his grandson, than this? I get why she hates Thomas, but it seems punitive, and no one will win, especially if she loses her marriage to Ridge in the process.
