B&B: Katie and Thorne Engaged

On the September 17, 2018 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful', Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) proposed and Katie (Heather Tom) said yes. Below are my thoughts on this development.

Katie and Thorne have been dating for a time, after her relationship with Wyatt (Darrin Brooks) ended, partly because of the reaction of her son Will about his brother. Soon after Wyatt, moved on with Sally (Courtney Hope). The first kiss between Thorne and Katie was initiated by him, but they slowly got involved sexually as Will was sleeping at the house every night. Thorne's proposal wasn't about the boy, but since Katie wants full custody as Bill (Don Diamont) was ignoring his son, this could potentially help the cause. It seems like the only time Thorne and Katie get alone time is if Will is at school, as Ridge, Quinn, and Eric wondered why he wasn't at Forrester Creations. A call interrupted their celebration, which was a surprise, as why would anyone answer the phone during such an event.

Today's episode was written by Patrick Mulcahey and the rest of the show was about Brooke and her life/feelings for Bill. I'm glad that there was another story going on in Los Angeles (that isn't about Liam/Hope/Steffy), and that there was a reference to Thorne and Katie knowing each other for about 30 years, as both were original characters (though the original actors in the parts are gone they were on the air in 1987.)
