Thoughts about "Neighbours" - May 2018

Below is my May entry about "Neighbours" for 2018.

There was a leadership camping trip with the students. Poppy's bullying of Kirsha was now known to all, and Susan stayed with her while the other chaperones and teachers went with the other students. Susan's phone interfered with the compass, and they became lost overnight. Karl got really upset and went into the bush to look for his wife, and fell. Xanthe found Karl, and saved his life. Now Xanthe wonders if she could become a doctor instead of a nurse. Karl recuperated again, and Susan and Karl were approached by Rita about an MS trial, as Rita wants to get the hospital away from Clive.

Amy had to deal with Liam's new job in New York City. Jimmy was upset about it, as he felt Liam was abandoning him again. Liam told Jimmy, he wanted his son to go. Jimmy and Amy were surprised on how quickly Jimmy had to leave to start school, and had a tearful goodbye.

Toadie lost his old office in the complex, due to Chloe's actions, but got a new one nearer to the police station that was helpful. Sheila ended up losing her job at the waterhole due to failing the harassment training. She tried to help Gary at work, but instead messed things up with Steph. Weirdly Sheila was apt to help Toadie, and did well, so she got a job with him. That said, can Sheila keep confidential information quiet.

Steph was thinking about leaving Erinsborough as Dan (who isn't seen) was allowing her to move nearer to her younger son, Adam. Charlie and his stepmother Phillipa were in town, and Charlie spoke about he had to lie for her. Steph was upset her son was put in this position, and decided to use that to get more time with Charlie. Charlie liked the idea of getting to know his brother more. Steph needed to find someone to take over managing the Flametree. Gary tries, but as said earlier Sheila messed it up, though Steph forgives him. One of Xanthe's classmates drugged her and Piper, during Xanthe's 18th birthday luncheon, causing Piper to become hospitalized.

David and Aaron became engaged, as they thought to do so at the same time. David had it planned by getting Aaron a watch, while Aaron just gave him a tab off of a soda can. The two planned to wed quickly, but not too quickly. There also was a scene with them trying to cheer up Amy, where to protect her from nudity after a sauna issue, we saw their behinds.

Chloe and Leo's affair became public as Brandon tried to blackmail them. Brandon damaged Paul's convertible, and Chloe and Leo tried to cover it up, though Paul found out everything. Paul told Terese she needed to mentor Leo. Leo was put to work as a cleaner, and lost his high level gig. Of course, Mishti and Leo's relationship was now dead. Also we found out why Chloe and Fay were in town, Chloe had spent all of Fay's money and the house was sold to pay debts accrued by Chloe.

Yashvi and Dipi made up, as Dipi went to a game in disguise and behaved herself. Unfortunately Yashvi then started getting bullied by Marisa, who was racist. This wasn't just regular trash talk, as Marisa felt Yashvi should play Aussie rules with people like her. Yashvi won the rising star award, which made things even worse. Earlier in the month, Dipi's fight with the guy at Yashvi's game caused issues at Harold's, as she banned him, but eventually Dipi relented.

Elly was surprised to see her younger half-sister Bea in town. What Bea didn't know was that her disabled boyfriend was actually Elly's ex, the abusive Finn Kelly who is wheelchair bound and calling himself Patrick.

Cassius is new in town, and works in lawn service. Dipi and Sheila objectify him, while Piper doesn't like him because he was rude to her at the nursery.

Those were the highlights of May 2018. The credits were updated with new photos, and Clementine the cat was out, though Clancy the dog was with the Rebecchi clan. With Jimmy gone, Amy was moved with Paul, and Mishti was in the generic girls shot, and the Tanaka brothers were now together.
