GH: Dante's Departure

On "General Hospital", Dante left town as his family on June 28, 2018, as Dominic Zamprogna decided to leave the show.  Below are my thoughts about this story.

Well Dante Falconeri's departure, wasn't a story at all. He announced to his surprised wife Lulu (Emme Rylan) that he was going away on a special assignment for the WSB. Raj who had tried to kill Lulu had become an international arms dealer, and Dante wanted to help catch him. The only other character Dante said goodbye to was Chase, who was his latest police partner. Dante asked Chase to look after Michael.

Dante's departure was a disappointment, as he didn't get to say goodbye to anyone he loves except for Lulu, (they also showed a recreated first meeting clip, and the characters were intimate). We didn't see him with their son Rocco. There was no goodbye with Olivia, who would be devastated that her son would go on an undercover assignment risking his life without a goodbye. He didn't see his brother Michael or father Sonny either. Anyway, I hope that Dante doesn't get the Frisco treatment in the future (the guy who leaves his family to do good) who instead of being seen as a hero has become a villain.
