Days: Thoughts on Sami's latest Return

I waited until seeing all of Ali Sweeney's return to "Days of Our Lives" to complete this post. Below are my thoughts on it.

Sami came back as it was rumored that Will (Chandler Massey) was alive. We discovered he was in Memphis believing that Susan Banks (Eileen Davidson) was his mother, and that his name was actually EJ. Everyone was stunned, but eventually Susan with the help of her Elvis impersonator boyfriend admitted the truth. Paul kept the truth from Sonny for not even two days, and everyone was livid, but it wasn't months or even weeks, but hours. Justin and Adrienne who recently reunited made love while away on this trip. We also found out that Kristen was alive, as was the real EJ, though we only saw Kristen for under 10 minutes, and EJ was just mentioned.

Back in Salem, Sami got frustrated how Will was bonding with everyone, but her. She decided to get Ben Weston to try to strangle him to remember the past. It didn't work, and all it did was alienate Will from Sami even further. Will had been with Lucas (who was drunk), when that kidnapping took place. Lucas (Bryan Datillo) was still out of control with his drinking, but eventually Sami convinced him to go to rehab as Will needed him.

In other Sami behavior, she and Rafe (Galen Gering) hooked up after Rafe and Hope (Kristen Alfonso) broke their engagement. The ring got dropped on the floor, and Sami lied saying the ring was hers from EJ's and not really Hope's jewel. Rafe has gotten away with lying to Hope about cheating on her for now, but it probably won't last for long.

Sami left town to be with her younger kids over the holidays. Will said he will keep in touch with her, as Eric helped Will see what Sami was really like and that he also wasn't as good as he believed. (Will shooting EJ, and his father going to prison in his stead.) Belle also told Will about Sami earlier, which made the sisters argue again.

During Sami's visit she interacted with nearly everyone she should. Sami even got to see Abe, which was a nice surprise considering that wouldn't have been the first relationship that they would remember. Having Ali Sweeney come on for a few weeks as Sami, cause trouble and then leave actually fits with this character. I hope it happens again in the future.
