Y&R: Chloe Left Town

On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, Chloe left Genoa City to get psychiatric help tying into the departure of multiple-Emmy nominated actress Elizabeth Hendrickson. The character started to fall apart once her daughter Delia was killed in a car crash.

The character introduced in 2008 was eventually revealed to Esther's daughter Kate. During her time in Genoa City, she was involved in various relationships. When involved with both Cane and Billy, she became pregnant with Delia. Once Billy was discovered as the girl's father, she lost Cane for good and their marriage was shattered. She then married Billy, but that relationship didn't last. Chloe then got involved with Chance and later his half-brother Ronan. While she and Chance were engaged, they never wed. Chloe later fell for Kevin, their relationship was put to the test by his ex-wife Jana. Kevin was extremely supportive when Delia developed leukemia as he loved the girl as his own. Due to Victor, Kevin and Billy lied about where Delia's bone marrow came from as Billy was the donor. This caused Kevin and Chloe to have issues yet again, but they didn't break up yet. Angelina got in their way, but Kevin and Chloe got back together. Sadly their business venture with Adam and Chelsea failed, and they resorted to a life of crime. Kevin became addicted and that caused Chloe and Kevin to get a divorced. They started getting back together before Delia died, and were on a date when the fateful accident happened. Chloe kidnapped Connor, and Kevin stepped up and married her to keep her out of being committed. She also tried to destroy Chelsea's designs at a fashion show, drugged Billy to try to get pregnant with him and later stole his sperm. All of these things showed she wasn't stable. Kevin's help wasn't enough, so Chloe left for California as it would be too difficult for her to seek treatment and be near the places that her late daughter loved.

Chloe said goodbye to the people who loved her: Kevin (who she said goodbye and not just in a platonic way), Lauren and Michael (Kevin's sister-in-law and brother), Chelsea (her best friend) and Billy. Her mom Esther took her to the airport. They showed her holding a canister with Billy's sperm on the way out the door. Obviously this is a cliffhanger that could be picked up at a later time, though I'd rather they not go there due to how Billy's son, Johnny was conceived, but I digress. Hopefully we'll see Elizabeth Hendrickson in a new project soon, and I wish her well in her future gigs.
