Y&R: Dealing with Delia's Death

"The Young and the Restless" has spent a lot of time dealing with the aftermath of Delia's death. The seven year old died in a hit-and-run accident late last year, and hopefully this story will come to a close or at least make some positive progress.

Things that happened otherwise known as ripples in no particular order:
  1. Adam "died" or is  at least presumed dead after a car crash. This is where Michael Muhney exited as well as Billy Miller's Billy. Billy is now being played again by David Tom.
  2. Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) and Chloe's (Elizabeth Hendrickson) friendship was strained especially after Chloe found out what Adam did.
  3. Victor (Eric Braeden) blackmailed Adam to get closer to his grandson. This action is now only coming out infuriating Victoria (Amelia Henlie), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nicholas (Josh Morrow).
  4. Chloe and Kevin (Greg Rikkart) had started to reunite before Delia died, but with her passing their relationship fell apart again.
  5. Billy cheated on Victoria with Kelly (Cynthia Watros), whom he never would have met if it weren't for Delia's death. They became friends at a grief support group.
  6. The Delia Project, which is a charity created to honor Delia, never would have existed. To raise money, they had an event on Valentine's Day. Everyone who was at the party was held hostage, and Cane (Daniel Goddard) was shot. Billy also was injured, though both recovered quickly. This also tied into why Colin (Tristan Rogers) came back to Genoa City.
While I wasn't a fan of Delia being killed for an organ donation story, I do appreciate  that Y&R did play some fallout. That being said I'd like to see some happiness again in Genoa City. The show has been a tad depressing and someone (anyone) should be happy.
