On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, AJ (Sean Kanan) was found not guilty of the murder of Connie (Kelly Sullivan). While AJ will go free, the culprit on General Hospital has not been found though since Ava (Maura West) tampered with the evidence she looks mighty guilty.
Unlike many murder mysteries on soaps, AJ didn't get exonerated by someone coming into court and admitting the crime or some other sort of extreme message. Instead it was due to how the new District Attorney Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) couldn't prove his case. There hasn't been too much reaction yet to the verdict, but hopefully there will be. While AJ's son Michael (Chad Duell) and his mother Monica (Leslie Charleson) should be thrilled, no one else seemingly cares. Since AJ doesn't know whether or not he is guilty, this situation may not be able to reunite him with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).
The biggest blowback was how it influenced Scott's actions. He was upset, and his former wife Lucy (Lynn Herring) was too. They had sex, and well she's still married. The cliffhanger had the possibility of them being discovered. I was a bit surprised that GH would go this way, but hey if it gives Lynn and Kin a story, I'll be watching.
