B&B: Bad Day for Team Taylor

Tuesday, January 15, 2013 was a bad day on "The Bold & the Beautiful" for Team Taylor (Hunter Tylo) as both of her children: Thomas (Adam Gregory) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were dealt serious blows.

The fashion face-off took place at Forrester Creations and Eric (John McCook) decided, who would become President of the company and his protege. Instead of choosing Thomas, he went with his son Rick (Jacob Young). Eric felt that due to his time at Forrester International, he was a better choice to run the company. Thomas, due to his design skills, would become co-head designer, a job that he would share with Eric. Of course, this choice devastated Thomas as he felt that he had no chance to get the president position. If Stephanie (Susan Flannery) hadn't changed her will, he would have been CEO, so he felt like he was demoted. That said it was too bad that Thorne (Winsor Harmon), didn't take the president's position as then there would have been no contest. Rick or Thomas would have accepted Thorne, who had been President of Forrester in the past, in that role.

Meanwhile Steffy who missed the fashion face-off, found out she was pregnant with her former husband and current live-in lover Liam's (Scott Clifton) child. She was going to gleefully tell him the news, but found Liam, in their home, on their bed with Hope (Kim Matula). What made it worse for Steffy was they were kissing on top of Steffy's discarded clothes, though Steffy has no idea they didn't have sex.

The irony was not lost on me that on this particular episode that Taylor's kids were given setbacks, while Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) were successful. Eventually it may reverse and Taylor's two will prevail again. I'm curious where they are going to go with all of this, will they have Steffy lie or hide the pregnancy, will Thomas decide he has had enough of Eric's supposed favoritism and try to go out on his own as a design mogul? This opens up certain avenues that B&B can explore, though I'd prefer for Liam to make a choice and stick to it baby or no baby.
