Y&R: Six Random Thoughts

With the regime change (Mal Young out), Josh Griffith back in at "The Young and the Restless", I wanted to do a random thoughts post.

  1. Kyle married Summer and slept with her, after Summer agreed to be Lola's donor. Kyle seemingly cares for both women, so who knows what will happen now?
  2. Kerry wasn't Kerry, but Dominique, who was working for Ashley to get Jabot back. At least there was some movement on this plot, and it was nice to see Eileen Davidson on screen. Phyllis was booted out of Jabot, and Jack was back in charge for now.
  3. Abby ended it with Arturo, because he slept with Mia. This was a rewrite, as it originally seemed like nothing happened.
  4. A tumor made him do it, so Nikki didn't kill JT after all. So JT was sent out of town for his abuse and attack of Victor, while Nikki, Victoria, and Sharon were free even though they had all be sentenced to years in prison. Tessa being a blackmailer was also dropped as she won't be tried either.
  5. Anna has a father Jett, who had surgery and can no longer sing. At least her reasons for needing money were finally explained.
  6. Paul was back, and fired Rey for how he helped Sharon and the others escape. Due to Phyllis cutting a deal, Nick ended it with Phyllis, and everyone was livid with her.
It feels like Y&R was doing a bit of deck shuffling with the regime change. So we will see what happens, though I am very glad that the JT story ended and he isn't dead.
