Daytime Emmy Reels 2018

The Daytime Emmys official website has the reels posted for 2018's awards.

Like last year, the Daytime Emmys posted the clips of each of the nominees in the major soap acting categories meaning "The Bold and the Beautiful", "Days of Our Lives", "General Hospital", and "The Young and the Restless" nods and not web series. This year they also included the guest reels and in playlists. Hopefully these links will continue to work, but here is a link to their site as well if they don't in the future.

The Lead Actress Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Laura Wright (Carly 11:51), Eileen Davidson (Ashley 9:23), Marci Miller (Abigail 8:42), Maura West (Ava 19:47), and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis 12:37) There is no logical reason for this order I can figure out...hmmm does it mean anything?

The Lead Actor Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Billy Miller (Jason/Drew 10:06), James Reynolds (Abe 11:39), John McCook (Eric 5:24), Michael Easton (Finn 7:17), and Peter Bergman (Jack 13:20). This list's order seems to based on the actor's first name.

The Supporting Actress Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Camryn Grimes (Mariah 14:49), Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe 12:46), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy 7:57), Marla Adams (Dina 14:32), Mishael Morgan (Hilary 8:21), and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie 4:23). Like with the lead actor's in order by the first name of the nominee.

The Supporting Actor Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Chandler Massey (Will 19:40), Greg Rikaart (Kevin 6:42), Greg Vaughan (Eric 13:57), Wally Kurth (Ned 10:46), and Anthony Montgomery (Andre 11:31) These were in order by first name, if you think of Anthony as Tony that is.

The Younger Actress Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Reign Edwards (Nicole 10:43), Hayley Erin (Kiki 13:33), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa 9:59), Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire 10:20), and Chloe Lanier (Nelle 7:45). This list is by last name, not first.

The Younger Actor Playlist:

The time stamps for each are Casey Moss (JJ 15:31), Hudson West (Jake 11:42), Lucas Adams (Tripp 15:06), Rome Flynn (Zende 10:45), and Tristan Lake Leabu (Reed 5:42). This is also first name order.

The Guest Performer Playlist:

The time stamps for each are John Enos (Roger 9:22), Morgan Fairchild (Angelica 6:14), Robb Derringer (Scooter 5:14), Ryan Ashton (Zack 7:30),  and Vernee Watson (Stella 7:59) These are posted by the performer's first name.

I'm surprised at the length of some of the submissions. It isn't possible to show much range in very short reels due to the writing in soaps these days. They seldom give anyone a monologue that is in the two to five minute range, which I could understand if someone would use. What I find interesting is that some of the lead submissions are shorter than the supporting.
