AMC: Thoughts on Episode 43

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode 43 (September 2, 2013) of All My Children.

Note: I number these without the "More episodes" included in the count. On Hulu, this episode is 61.

Season Finale Episode 43:

Segment One:

Jesse and Angie discuss his job options. She believes that he should be a private investigator since Tad went undercover there is a void in Pine Valley. Dimitri wishes Brooke a good morning. JR apologizes for what he did, but Dimitri explains that everyone went to Cortech. Colby thinks JR sucked up to them, but he tells her he has a plan. Miranda goes to see AJ, and Heather comes with a basket for a picnic. Heather invites Miranda, but she says she already has plans. After AJ and Heather leave, Miranda rips up tickets she planned to use with AJ.

Segment Two:

JR comes to the hospital to see Dr. Anders, but the doctor has yet to go to work. Joe and JR discuss Cara's stolen prescription pad, and Joe explains how the person will be caught when he uses it again. Colby visited Cassandra at home. She brought movies and food. David needles Jesse over his lack of work, and offers him a position doing security at Cortech. Jesse and David spar, but nothing comes of it.

Segment Three:

JR is back at home, and asks Cara about Oliver. JR paid Oliver's medical bills, and he apologizes again to her. He explains how David was the one who corrupted his computer file, not Brooke. David went to the Hubbards with flowers for Cassandra. Colby and David discuss Cass, who is sleeping. Colby asks if David destroyed JR's reel, he doesn't answer her question, but talks about how he is her one ally. Dimitri and Brooke are interacting awkwardly since kissing. He won't forget about what happened, and kisses her again.

Segment Four:

Miranda asks Jane for a job as a distraction. She then remembers her feelings for AJ and a montage is shown. Heather and AJ are back in his room. Before anything can happen, JR interrupts. AJ tells his father that he wants nothing to do with him. Dimitri and Brooke are back at work. He agrees to forgetting what happened so they can continue to be partners. Angie and Jesse speak on the phone and he can't make the meeting with Dr. Peterson. He is going to meet a realtor instead. Jesse then makes a phone call to Tad. He says he'll be on the next flight home as Uri is returning to Pine Valley.

General thoughts about the episode:

Basically the big cliffhanger is that Tad will be coming back to Pine Valley. Let's hope that still happens. Also we find out that Heather is sexually active. It didn't really feel like a finale episode, and almost wish they had ended it during the party.
