Y&R: Noah Leaves Genoa City

Noah (Robert Adamson) left town to take a new opportunity on "The Young and the Restless", below I write about this development.

Noah was a bit out of sorts after finding out his live-in girlfriend Tessa (Caitlin Fairbanks) and his half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) shared a kiss and lied about it. He was angry, and unrepentant about his feelings about the women. Since he had a job at the restaurant in the Newman building, everyone could see his negative feelings. Victor (Eric Braeden) decided to make Noah an offer he shouldn't refuse, a better job for Newman in Mumbai, India. He could learn, and get away from Genoa City. Also being that far away, meant he wouldn't be in the constant fights at the corporate office.

At times, it felt like Y&R didn't know what to do with this character. In the quadrangle with his half-sister, his girlfriend, and another friend,  he barely got any play. Only at the end was he allowed to get angry. The fact that Y&R has had such trouble discovering younger male talent and writing for them has continued for years. I hope this improves soon.

The last episode with this version of Noah aired on February 16, 2018 (in the US). This is the second departure of a younger male character as Scott (Daniel Hall) who left for London in mid-January 2018.
