B&B: Ridge and Brooke Wed (Again)

The week of February 5, 2018 on "The Bold and the Beautiful" - Ridge (Thorsten Kay) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) married again with episodes February 7 - 9. Below are my thoughts.

Quinn's picture was taken down for the wedding which took place in the Forrester living room. Brooke decided she wanted to replace it with the late Stephanie's image and not her own. This was a good thing, but the tradition of the bride of every wedding getting a painting is a bit ridiculous.

The ceremony was planned by the assorted family with Katie being maid of honor and Thorne being best man. This feels like an excuse to pair them again, but I digress. Also considering everything, don't they have staff to do these things. Though I'm glad the whole event wasn't shipped off to Pam and Charlie like Thanksgiving and Christmas tend to be, and they were allowed to be guests.

Donna was in LA for the wedding, Steffy went to the event, but wasn't part of the ceremony. Hope was there for her mom, as were daughter-in-law Maya, and Ivy. Coco came as RJ's date, and Vivienne and Julius came, though Nicole was in Paris again.

Carter takes care of officiated the wedding, with the vows taking place on the February 8, 2018 episode. Katie, Rick and Maya, had prepared readings while Eric spoke his own thought, before Ridge and Brooke made their vows.

The Friday episode was the reception. Othello (who tended to be in the Aspen stories, and hasn't been seen in years though friends with Rick) was the DJ. Eric does the toast, Thorne is gracious as best man doing another speech, and Donna should be next wed as she caught the bouquet. At the end of the episode we have more well wishes from Eric and Steffy. Julius mentions being grandparents with Brooke, and Brooke thanks everyone for coming. Ridge and Brooke kiss under the portrait. A surprise guest is at the reception, Stephanie "talks" to Brooke, and it is actually the voice of Susan Flannery who retired from B&B, so her character died.

After watching this wedding, I had to wonder how long will this marriage last. Considering both Ridge and Brooke's shared past, it wouldn't be surprising if they do it again in a few years, after making up and breaking up numerous times.
