Scarsdale has gotten many mentions on General Hospital this September. The real life town, which is a bedroom community to New York City, was the fictional home to the clandestine clinic Crichton Clark. The private medical facility was used for cutting edge treatments. Below I'll summarize everything we know that happened at this location.
Crichton Clark housed Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) during her 20 year coma. We only really met her once she left their care, so we don't have any further information about her stay or what they did to allow her to awaken.
Robin (Kimberly McCullough) was working for Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) at the clinic to reawaken Stavros (Robert Kelker-Kelly) and Jason. This was a clandestine mission for the WSB as he took over the organization. Robin only agreed to help Victor because he threatened her family and due to her friendship with Jason. While looking for information on the accident, which caused Sabrina to go into premature labor, Patrick (Jason Thompson) discovered Robin's location. Sam (Kelly Monaco) was caught before she found out anything to help Patrick.
Lulu (Emme Rylan), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Nathan (Ryan Paevey), and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) all ended up at Crichton Clark as kidnap victims. Lulu and Maxie were taken first by Levi (Zach Garred), and the men went after them. The kidnapping took place at Maxie's wedding to Levi, which ended in bullets as Mac (John J. York) was shot. Thankfully, Maxie and Levi's nuptials never were consummated. Levi turned on his accomplice before reaching the clinic though, but he burned through two other on screen locations before reaching his father. Levi was out for revenge due to what Maxie's mom Felicia (Kristina Wagner) did to his dad Peter Harrell Sr., Levi was a Junior and named after his father. The original Peter was a minor character on General Hospital in the 80s and he tried to steal the Aztec jewels from Felicia. This time Levi did the same, but was thwarted by Maxie and Nathan. Levi and his father died and Maxie and Nathan finally shared a kiss. Meanwhile, Lulu and Dante had to deal with Stavros, who was continued his obsession with Lulu and procreating with her. How many insane soap villains can you name who wanted to impregnate both the mother and the daughter? (I can only think of one Stavros Cassadine.) Thankfully Lulu and Dante succeeded in beating Stavros, though an alleged embryo remained that was Lulu's DNA mixed with Stavros. (Of course, this confuses me as wouldn't the embryos all have been fertilized by Dante already as otherwise they wouldn't have been embryos just eggs.)
As part of the mission to save Lulu, Dante, Nathan and Maxie, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gatti) worked together. This was a mismatched pair, but Obrecht wanted her son to be alive. We also found out that Victor wasn't Nathan's biological father, but everyone else believes this to be the case. Anna arrested Obrecht for shooting Victor. Since Victor was in charge of the clinic, he put it on self-destruct to get rid of all the evidence. So everyone who didn't get out died in the blast. Thankfully Lulu, Dante, Nathan, Maxie and Anna were able to shoot the door open before the explosion.
Robin did everything she could to keep Jason's alive and was successful in treating him. They were able to escape before the clinic was destroyed. Helena (Constance Towers) shocked Robin and Jason as she and her minions tried to kidnap them again. She recaptured Robin, and made Dr. Scorpio Drake tell her mother Anna (Finola Hughes) and Patrick that she won't return to Port Charles.
When Crichton Clark was first mentioned on screen, one would have never guess that it would make a lasting impact in Port Charles as it was really in Scarsdale. While I won't miss the clinic, I hope that more payoff continues from the story location.
