Due to hearings in the Senate, the US soaps weren't on every day. Below is what was and wasn't on in daytime.
If
you lived somewhere that had the hearings on, NBC offered a few
options, hope your local affiliate was airing "Days of Our Lives" on a
separate station, or overnight, skip it or via on demand. They didn't
postpone any of their episodes.
CBS didn't air "The
Young and the Restless", every day, in all markets, but decided to make
episodes available regardless of what was going on in the news. "The
Bold and the Beautiful" was preempted on Monday, February 3rd but was
partially or fully available the other days. This was the only preemption all week.
If ABC didn't air "General Hospital", it was available online.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
