TVLine posted explosive news about the cast of Days of Our Lives today. Below are my thoughts.
Days of Our Lives won't be taping for eight months so everyone is "fired". Anyone with a 13-week cycle, well the show is not taping for more than that long, so that makes sense. Same if anyone has a 26-week, so I guess no one has a 52-week cycle anymore, or they all end in the 8 months.
It will be interesting to see what happens, if anyone gets a full-time gig in the dark months, and cannot return. In this time frame, we have the "traditional" pilot season, and anything can happen. This is not a scenario were Days has first refusal if anyone gets another job, as the cast are all free agents. I do feel sorry for the people behind the scenes, and do wonder if the studio is dark if they can get unemployment for some of this time, if they aren't able to find work on another production.
