OLTL: That was a wedding?!

While soaps don't have the budget they once did, Natalie and Jared's wedding was unbelievable -- two seconds with barely a vow. When the best part of it was the priest being Another World's John Hudson (David Forsyth), there is a serious problem.

One of the best ways to get people invested in a couple is showing them, and for those who already care one of the ways to pay them back for their investment is a romantic wedding ceremony. Natalie and Jared's vows were part of a montage and Gigi's marriage fantasy while short seemed slightly longer. Shockingly Charlie and Viki kissing and Clint's proposal to Nora got more screen time. Not that I'm complaining that the older actors had more play, but it was stunning.

Has OLTL lost interest in Jared and Natalie? Is this small wedding a pre-cursor for a larger ceremony that will take place in the future? I'm really not sure what to think. Like the last story, Natalie and Jared lied to the Natalie's family. Jared pretended to be a Buchanan while falling in love with his "niece". Once Natalie found out the truth she hid it from everyone which caused a chain reaction. Everything was resolved eventually and David ended up being a Buchanan though not Asa's son as originally feared, but Bo's oldest.

This will backfire, but who knows how. Will Jessica fall into an abyss again with her alters coming back full force? Finding out a part of you kidnapped your cousin's baby and let everyone think she died is not exactly a "normal" situation. How will Marcie/Michael, Starr/Cole feel to find out Chloe is baby Hope? The family members and friends of everyone involved should hopefully get their say in this situation.
