All of the current daytime soaps, along with most other television programming in North America is shutdown or being done remotely via webcam. This week, "General Hospital", "The Bold and the Beautiful", "The Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives" are no longer in production.
For more on this story read TVLine's coverage. When it comes to safety, I feel relieved that the shows aren't taping. Though I feel for those who can't get unemployment especially those below the line employees so to speak.
Days of Our Lives due to filming so many months in advance is good through the Summer, but the other shows may run out of episodes before they can return to the studio.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
