Thoughts about "The Doctors" - May 1975

Another month's worth of episodes of "The Doctors" has aired on RetroTV. Below are my thoughts on what has aired for the month of May 1975.

Hank is now part of the senior staff, Toni held a party at Pete's PM one night for everyone to celebrate. During this party she heard from Mike, but kept it to herself. Instead of hearing Andy sing, they used a record instead. Carolee was upset due to the situation with Karen and Erich still, and Steve left to get Ann from the airport.

Mike went to send a letter telling Toni, his intentions. He was mugged, and was hospitalized again. Once he was better, he left Singapore for Madison. The letter arrived, and the family thought it was a con, as one of the survivors with the last name Wales, was last seen in Singapore. Greta wants to meet the impostor, while the others want her far away. Toni took a leave of absence from the lab, just in case "Mike" arrives. Hank thinks that Mike possibly could have seen Toni with Alan and turned around, but the others think that is unlikely. (Listen to Hank, he knows Mike the best of anyone.)

Althea laundered Tom's pajamas and returned them to him. Penny is planning on coming back to town solely to become a better doctor than her mother ever was. She wants to take classes at Hope University, first as a summer student, and then full time if possible.

Andy helped Stacy find a new pad, and she moved out, while Annie moved into the Aldrich house. It seems that Andy has fallen for Stacy already is making plans for their future.

Maggie and Althea both tried to help Carolee cope with Karen's behavior. Steve went with Karen to a lawyer, so the adoption could be overturned at any time. Erich overheard some of this, and believes Carolee doesn't love him anymore. Over lunch, on the day the adults planned to tell Erich the truth, Carolee took Erich home. She blurted out that Karen was his "real mother". Erich became upset, and only wants to be around Steve, not wanting to be near either woman.

Matt looked at Ann's health records, and she is doing much better. Both Matt and Maggie realize that she seems too interested in Steve. Even though Ann is healthier due to her time in the desert, she isn't ready to start working back at the clinic, and private practice.

Those were the highlights of May 1975. Armand Assante is now playing Mike. What I don't understand is why Captain Zeb hasn't done a long distance telegram of some sort to Matt Powers, to explain the situation. Instead we have this limbo.
