Days: The Charity Strip Show

On Days of Our Lives, there was a charity strip show for the children's wing at University Hospital. This impromptu event was held in Chicago at the club where Cameron (Nathan Owens) already worked.

While this event was for charity, it was really about helping Cameron. He had become a stripper to pay off some of his mother's debts. Instead of asking for help, he took this job. To keep him from getting fired by Mr. Burns, they needed a way to shield Cameron. The way that happened was getting other prominent men to strip. There were obligatory comments referencing the famous character on "The Simpsons" about how he would go nuclear.

Abby (Kate Mansi) and her mother Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) tried to enlist guys to strip along with Cameron.  Nurse Maxine (Aloma Wright) also helped out as she feared for Cameron's job and wanted to do it for Lexie's little brother. The other guys who stripped were Daniel (Shawn Christian), Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Rafe (Galen Gering). Since Daniel is a preeminent surgeon at the hospital, Mr. Burns couldn't fire him too. Daniel was a cowboy and ironically dressed much like Shawn Christian did when he worked on As the World Turns back in the 90s. Brady was a cop, and Rafe was a construction worker. Cameron came out at the end with the other three guys. Days even released a new GetGlue sticker for the occasion.

The guys also had women in the audience watching the festivities. Anne (Meredith Scott Lynn) who was trying to nail Cameron was there obviously. Kristen (Eileen Davidson) watched her fiance Brady strip, Sami (Ali Sweeney) brought her grandma Caroline (Peggy McCay). This also forwarded story as Rafe found out about Sami's engagement to EJ (James Scott). For once, Sami and Kristen were on the same side. It was also good that they allowed Sami to be horrified over seeing her stepbrother strip and turn her head so she didn't get a view. There was also a mention about how Sami nearly called her brother Eric (Greg Vaughn), but since he was a priest, he would obviously not participate.

In the end, Cameron got to keep his job and Anne was berated. What was funny was on Friday's episode, Gabi mentioned to Rafe that Caroline posted pictures of him stripping on Facebook. That made me laugh in more ways than one. I liked the silly way this story wrapped up and I hope that Cameron continues to have support and scenes with people other than Abby.
