Y&R: Lola and Kyle Get Married

The below post is a summary of the major events that happened during Lola and Kyle's shared engagement party and wedding during August 2019 of "The Young and the Restless". Their wedding episodes ended on the US airing (August 19, 2019.)

Lola and Kyle shared an engagement party, which was Mariah's idea and executed. This upset Abby as she wanted to run Lola's party as her bridesmaid, but Abby already hosted a bridal shower (girls only) for Lola. The main highlights were Summer and Abby fighting again, Rey and Sharon being awkward, kid pictures of the actors who played Kyle and Lola (while Tessa sang a fluffy jokey song about them), and Theo coming as Summer's date. Jack also made a speech.

Kyle was a groomzilla and set-up everything he believed Lola would like for their wedding. He made a great guess. Lola's squad was Abby, Tessa, and Mariah, and the ladies handled the something borrowed (from Abby - jewelry earrings), a new Ashley created fragrance, Tessa and Mariah found a used clutch (something old and white), the blue was a garter. Lola was really glad to have friends like these. Kyle meanwhile was with his family, as he doesn't have friends like other people. He has Theo who is a former friend, and that's about it. Rey walked Lola down the aisle, the vows were spoken and they were married.

Arturo came from Florida to see the wedding, as did the Rosales dad. Lola was happy to see her brother, but not her father, who was not invited and had abandoned her. Her mother Celeste came due to urging off screen from Jack. Speeches happened, and Kyle found out the girl who came to a party, was underage drank too much and was hospitalized was okay. The bridal bouquet got tossed around and only Mariah was happy to get it, and she and Tessa kissed. Kyle and Lola left the reception with bubbles.

The two days of wedding had a lot of cast there and an actual ceremony with dialogue. So that was a good thing. That said what kind of conflict can Kyle and Lola have as a married couple or will it be bliss for the weeks ahead.
