Halloween in Soapland 2018

Below are quick summaries about what happened on US soaps over the Halloween season.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" had the Halloween credits, and Quinn in a witch's hat, those were the highlights. It is too bad they didn't have a scene with baby Kelly in an adorable costume or Will dressed up for the day.

"Days of Our Lives" had a special Halloween episode like last year. This was Hattie's nightmare, and its contents caused her to decide to divorce John. Abby had her baby, who was possessed like Rosemary. There were other creepy things, and it was mainly with the Hortons. We had the triple sixes, Hope turning into Gina, references to "Get Out", Rolf being alive, which no one in town knows about probably. Doug and Julie were in this episode using NY accents, and Eli seemed possessed.

"General Hospital" had some kids at the holiday, and some not so child-friendly activities. Elizabeth dressed up her kids, and Franco was Willy Wonka - while staff at the hospital had special headbands along with their scrubs. Ava brought Avery around also, and the little girl went to Kiki. Danny went as Jason, which surprised Jason, and Jake was a skeleton. Joss and Cameron dressed as Han and Leia, while Charlotte was Rey. Since Cameron wouldn't bring a Chewbacca doll, there was a reference to the year prior where Oscar got Joss dragons for her Khalessi outfit. Peter dressed up as a player for the Port Charles Woodchucks, and spent the holiday with Maxie. Her birthday was mentioned, and they binged some "Brady Bunch". Mac mentioned to "Kevin" about them going in drag, and it was mentioned perhaps that is no longer appropriate. In the disturbing part of the two programs, the adults had a fundraiser for mental health charities. No one volunteered so Carly said she would bob for apples. Before she stuck her head in, she saw the decapitated head of Mary Pat, the nurse who made her life awful at Ferncliff. (Bobbing for apples isn't the most sanitary thing, but this was a step too far.)

"The Young and the Restless" had pre-Halloween with Nick taking the family to the pumpkin patch, where Christian wanted three pumpkins, and then actual Halloween activities. The Jabot vote took place and Phyllis is now CEO. Faith and Christian, were Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, with Nick as Captain Hook. Nick wanted Sharon to dress as Wendy, but she said no. Phyllis, Victoria, and Nikki were at Chancellor park trying to dig up JT's body, but Sharon was late as she told Nick again it was over between them romantically. Mariah and Tessa are dressed as Sonny and Cher, and Mariah is frustrated by this, they now have matching musical tattoos. Tessa made a special pumpkin with I love you and they kissed. Lola is a warrior, and Kyle who forgot to get dressed up for the holiday, was given a makeshift costume by Mariah and Tessa of a Superman. Abby and Arturo look like Sandy and Danny from Grease.
