Thoughts about "Neighbours" - March 2018

Below is my March entry about "Neighbours" for 2018.

Izzy got the bad news that she was going to lose all the money she inherited from her late husband, except what was already spent. Since she did not give the donation to the hospital that was not going to happen. She also stole Karl's sample, that's what it was called on the program, to have another child with him. It didn't take, which was a relief. Due to everything, Karl lost his status at the hospital. Susan needed a break from Karl as he didn't say no to Izzy quickly enough. Izzy left town abandoning Holly. Holly acted out drinking too much, and later stole from paperwork from the hospital in hopes of helping Karl. She was dismissed from her work experience, and Karl lost his opportunity to help do research work.

Sonya and Nell are still away, and Toadie is trying to make up the money he lost to fake Dee. He impressed a big city lawyer, but due to a prank war with Shane lost that gig. Toadie started it by putting a video of his brother and sister-in-law doing a part of their musical, which looks scandalous without context. Happily though Kirsha is starting to hear. Unfortunately for Mishti it was when she was discussing being pregnant with Leo. Both of them were uncertain about having a child. Leo went out of town for hotel business, but spent the time with Dakota. Dakota had information about the fire that scarred Rafael and killed his mother. David and Rafael cared for each other, but the situation with Paul made it impossible for them to be happy. That said they were intimate.

Ben left town, and he and Xanthe are trying to date long distance. He's doing his internship with his father's family, so he can learn more about them. And also because Mark due to his issues isn't in the right place to be a good mentor to Ben. Steph had introduced Ben to his other family, and she tried to be supportive of the long distance situation due to her son though due to being involved in something illegal, she couldn't get permission to leave the country.

Paige and Jack decided to move to the Gold Coast after all with their son Gabe. Susan had to find a replacement for Jack, while Terese needed someone to replace Paige. Chloe Brennan came to Erinsborough, and she wanted a job. She also upset Elly as she tried to steal from Mark, and she wanted Tyler's room in the house, causing stress for Piper. Aaron gave up his room for his sister, and it seems like Aaron isn't giving up on David, though will he give the flashdrive to David that exonerates Paul.

Sheila's memory is acting up, which is scaring her family. Ross Wilson arrived and sang a son, and Sheila couldn't remember the words. Shane noticed the problems, but Gary had been in denial.

Terese's work took second place to Piper who freaked out over having to testify against Louise. We didn't see any of the court case, but Louise's kidnapping of Gabe will not be left unpunished.

The job site was tampered with by Sue and her son Jayden. Amy was forced to give him work, but eventually he seemed to care about her. Mother and son got six months sentences, while Rafael got off with out any jail time.

Jimmy has a crush on Poppy using Kirsha to find out more information about her. Poppy is not a "nice" girl, as she sees Kirsha as a freak due to her hearing issues. Yashvi has a tryout for Aussie rules, and does well - as she is a natural. Prior to this, Toadie, Mark, and Jack played together, and Mark accidentally knocked Gabe's pram into the water. This was part of why Paige wanted to leave, she knew there was no way Mark could be happy with them in town.

Those were the highlights of March 2018. The whole Chicago clone musical idea, was just strange, but at least it gave a bit of humor with all the departures.
