B&B: Quinn's Sanity or Lack Thereof

This week on "The Bold and the Beautiful", we discovered that Quinn (Rena Sofer) isn't as together as she claims. Her reaction to Katie (Heather Tom) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) being involved and Eric (John McCook) knowing but not sharing were a step too far. Below are my thoughts through the October 17, 2017 episode.

I can understand why Quinn doesn't like Katie, as Katie blackmailed Quinn into a job, and Quinn nearly lost her marriage due to that secret. Katie doesn't care for Quinn either, but they both try to interact as neighbors, and fellow employees at Forrester Creations. Once Katie went to marketing/public relations and was no longer Quinn's direct report things seemed to get better. Neither likes Sheila, which bonded them a bit.

Katie and Wyatt started to like each other, and when in Monaco shared more than one kiss. The relationship as it was continued, and it went from simple affection between two friends without a partner, to hot sex, to a bit of something more though undefined. They weren't thinking about anything serious yet, but it was more than a one night stand. The two were discovered by Eric, who agreed to keep it quiet for a short time until they went public.

Quinn walking in on Katie and Wyatt in bed, after opening (an unlocked door, seriously...come on), and then wanting her son out of bed, and then dragging Katie was too much. Yes complain about their age difference, when your husband has kids who are older than you. Considering Quinn was involved with Liam, who is Wyatt's brother, and within the same age group, it is even more insane. Katie and Wyatt's age difference is less than either of Quinn's last two sexual relationships, as Ridge doesn't count in that department. (Though considering Quinn lied about her identity and Liam's what happened between them was rape, not sex.) I get Quinn being upset about the lies, but this isn't a betrayal like what she did to Liam, which was criminal. It is closer to what happened between Ridge and Quinn, which caused a separation until she reconciled with Eric.

Due to how Quinn treats Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), I figured that Quinn wasn't completely sane. That said I hope it doesn't turn into her kidnapping or throwing anyone over a balcony.
