Today the news came out that due to COVID-19, the 47th Daytime Emmy Ceremony isn't going to happen. Below are my thoughts.
Like a lot of big public events, we won't get a 2020 ceremony. This is disappointing, but understandable. I'm curious how NATAS is going to handle everything, have the nominees all online on video screens, and then the winner would be taken off mute to get to say hello. I'm not sure what makes the most sense, but that was my first imagined view of the awards in this climate.
