Katie (Heather Tom) on "The Bold and the Beautiful" had an awful Valentine's Day as her husband Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) told her he wanted an annulment.
B&B's Valentine's episodes weren't about love and romance, but heartbreak and betrayal. Katie lost Thorne because he never got over the loss of his wife Darla and later their daughter Aly. He said he rushed into marriage because he wanted to parent Will, but since Bill was behaving, he was going to step away. Katie was understandably upset, but had to let Thorne go. Ingo Rademacher played Thorne for about a year, and now he's left the program, and Katie has a lot of possibilities.
I felt they rushed Thorne and Katie's relationship, and understand why that marriage came to an end. At least Thorne didn't die or end up in a coma. We'll see if/when the character returns, and if it will be with yet another actor.
