On Friday, December 15, 2017, Ridge and Brooke got engaged again. Below are my thoughts on this development.
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) got engaged again, as he proposed on the beach, but returned to their bed to make love for the first time in many months. Ridge and Brooke's last engagement ended due to his behavior during the 30th anniversary stories back in March. Brooke moved on and married Bill (Don Diamont), and she couldn't forgive him for his crimes, and plans to divorce him. Since Bill and Brooke are still technically wed, Brooke isn't wearing Ridge's ring.
Since Thorne (now Ingo Rademacher) is back in LA, and wants a relationship with her (again). It seems like part of the reason for Brooke's behavior is to show that she is only interested in Ridge, and Ridge of course wants to stake his claim to her. As this was going on Thorne and Eric (John McCook) spoke about how Ridge also wins even after doing awful things, and how Brooke deserves better.
As of late, B&B has very much been on repeat, whether it is the same couples again and again, or the same sorts of stories. The special interest story which was about driving while texting lasted not even a week, and the obsession with a building was even more bizarre. I do wonder if Thorne will really and truly act against his brother, and destroy this reunion between Brooke and Ridge, or if Brooke will be Mrs. Ridge Forrester yet again.
