AMC: New Season Preview Video
Today, Tuesday April 16, 2013, TOLN released their All My Children new season preview video on YouTube.com. Below are my thoughts on it which includes speculation.
Unfortunately the name of the song used in the video isn't included, though according to something shared by Cady McClain (Dixie) that is AMC's new theme. Unlike the One Life to Live video, there is a lot more spoken dialogue throughout the video, and also location shooting. If I forget to mention anyone I apologize.
It begins with outdoor shots and the new Pete Cortlandt (Robert Scott Wilson), who we eventually see with his mother Opal (Jill Larson). There is a voiceover by Brooke (Julia Barr) about how secrets don't get kept in the town. We also see a Pine Valley sign. We also hear Angie (Debbi Morgan) talk to Jesse (Darnell Williams). Brooke and Adam (David Canary) are still together and kiss. Now teenaged AJ (Eric Nelsen) and Miranda (Denyse Tontz) are buddies, considering they grew up together it is somewhat understandable. There are also shots of the new character Celia (Jordan Lane Price) with what looks to be a locket with a picture of Francesca James (who is playing Evelyn, though who knows she could be Kitty or Kelly). Cara (Lindsay Hartley) and David (Vincent Irizarry) reconnected, while her brother Griff (Jordi Vilasuso) didn't understand. David was also in a cemetery. There is "action" with Zach (Thorsten Kaye) and Jesse, who are looking for someone. We see a handcuffed Cassandra (Sal Stowers). Bianca (Eden Riegel) is sad, and The clip ends with the All My Children book, which has been part of the show since the beginning though it is red like it started to be styled in 1990.
This video was very different in tone than the One Life to Live one. There was less sex, but more violence. It seemed like it was about small town life and young characters in school instead of the younger set hanging out at a nightclub. I wonder if this video is representative of the new All My Children, but we shall see.
