Thoughts about "Hollyoaks" - October 2019

Below are my thoughts on October 2019's "Hollyoaks" - this is not sequential.

Not much happened with the Ste story, Sinead, or the Maliks. As Ste is still in the hate group, and can't get out, Sinead is upset with Diane over Finn living in the village etc. Yaz is dealing with the frustration of not being able to hear.


Breda considered killing Tony, but could not because Tony is a good father. Tony's father Edward came to town, and he killed a bird (not telling Cindy), and Finn suspects him of being too good to be true as he has tried to get close to Diane. Jack was worried Breda was going senile as were Sylver and Goldie. Goldie followed Breda, and found Harry's wallet. Breda told Goldie she killed Harry, but kept her daughter quiet.

Liam gave up custody to Iona to his brother Jesse, and Courtney was glad as she was going to marry her now fiance. Liam thought he was going to leave with Mercy again.

Maxine worked at the Price Slice, but stole. Later as no one would help her and bankrupt with her husband in prison, she called her sister, and took Minnie to visit in America. Walter had a stroke, while Mitchell was sleeping with Anita/Scott. Mitchell then pushed Scott away due to his grandfather. We also found out that Mitchell had a twin. Cleo has no idea what is going on.

James fell apart over Harry's death as his body was found. He and Romeo got into an argument and he hit his son. Romeo moved out, but the family was on Romeo's side, once James' actions was revealed.

Liberty went for a pregnancy scan and found out she wasn't pregnant. Brody and Sienna were fighting over Maxine and Damon. Liberty said she could not deal with being a surrogate again and it not working. Brooke wanted to give the baby away, while Ollie  seemed to want to keep it. Eventually Ollie decided that his relationship with Brooke was more important. The idea of Brody and Sienna adopting the baby came to pass. Luke found out from Ollie that he was DJ's father, though Luke kept his mouth shut during DJ's christening. DJ was doing okay even with his birth defect. That said Luke was livid when he found out that Cindy knew and lied. It seems their relationship has ended.

The main event was the crane collapse and the destruction of part of the town. Tom and Cindy's construction went awry as Cindy hired a hot guy named Jake, and things were not structurally sound. People were left in peril after Luke moved it, and then Breda got into a crash. Unknowingly to anyone Tony was hidden in her car, Luke saw something, but due to being drunk, he thought he was seeing things. Tony wasn't found sadly and Breda escaped from the hospital to bring him back to the pig farm. Leah and Charlie went into the catacombs, but escaped, but Nancy and Darren didn't know this. They went after the kids, but fearing death they had sex. Darren found out that Mandy had no idea about DJ's paternity, so they were remaining together. Mitchell and Scott were together, and both ended up in the hospital shocking Cleo.

Those were the highlights for Hollyoaks in October 2019. I was surprised the autumn stunt was a lot less bloody then recent years.
