The news came out earlier this week that Hogan Sheffer passed away. On October 2, 2019, Deadline wrote about his career highlights.
Hogan started his daytime career after writing movies and his greatest success in soaps was at "As the World". For four years (in a five year span), he and the writing team at ATWT won the best writing accolades. He then ended up at Days of Our Lives, but was replaced after the writers' strike, and then worked at The Young and the Restless for a time.
He was only 61. I feel for the people whose lives he touched based on his work or their real life interactions with him.
