Thoughts about "Hollyoaks" - May 2019

Below are my thoughts on May 2019's "Hollyoaks" - this is not sequential.

Joel came between Mitchell and Cleo, but Mitchell's grandfather came to like her early in the month because Cleo loves trivia.


Breda felt that Mercedes wasn't being a good mother, but she has yet to move against her family member. Sylver tried to keep the peace between his mother and his wife, though he has no idea that Mercy is having issues with cocaine. Mercy was being better to her son Bobby than to her stepson Max. Max had enough of this, as Mercy messed up and was more worried about Prince selling drugs, so Max left town with his auntie. Liam took Mercy out for a night of fun, but they ran over Grace after stealing the car that James bought for Harry, though Romeo thought was for him as it was an Alfa-Romeo. Harry was thought to be a suspect in the hit-and-run, but Romeo gave him an alibi, so he was released.

Eventually Sienna got her job back, but Laurie got away with his sexual harassment. Sienna had enough and bolted the door on Laurie at work. Brody was with Sienna through all of this. Later Laurie raped Sinead again. Sinead admitted this to Diane and Tony, who threw him out, and Laurie was in jail. James got him out, as Sinead lied about the date of the first rape to the cops. Sami, Liberty, Sienna and Brody all tried to help Sinead. At first it seemed like Sally was on Laurie's side, but now was siding with the women. Meanwhile Nancy became friendly with Laurie to get dirt on him.

Ste's relationship with Peri and Leela got worse, and Leah decided she needed to stay with her Dad to look out for him. Ste was now living with his new friends, right next door to the Maliks, as Cindy sold the home that Mac stole from her. Cindy wanted to live again with the Osbournes including her brother Tom. The abuse continued with things like bacon being left on the Maliks' door. In happier news, Farah got a new job in Canada. She would have stayed to help Grace, who now could not use her legs due to being hit by a car. Farah still loves Grace, but Grace let her go, as before this situation they were fighting and just about broken up due to other issues.

Mandy's baby was going to return from the hospital, and she was going to stop working full time to take care of her son. The bicycle delivery service had mixed results and Kyle still has secrets. We do know that he owes a lot of money. Brooke and Ollie were intimate after awkward talks about sex, and after they were comfortable hanging out, instead of when any sort of gesture was made.


Those were the highlights for Hollyoaks in May 2019. This month was less dark than April, but there still isn't a lot of fun going on in the village. I wonder when we will get another event with odd music and comedy.
