Thoughts about "Hollyoaks" - February 2019

Below are my thoughts on February 2019's "Hollyoaks" - this is not sequential.

Maxine's ended up in the hospital again, as she couldn't feel her legs. It was picture day at school, and was disappointed to miss it. Damon left and they took pictures together. There was confusion that Maxine and Damon would move in together, but Maxine and Minnie got their own place, and Damon and Brody got the "Love Boat" from Lisa, as Lisa was busy with the Price Slice.

Mercedes and Sylver were back together, and not cousins biologically. Goldie found out that Sylver was "adopted", and Sylver and Mercy went to see Sylver biological mother, who couldn't even recall having a child due to her deteriorating health. Breda was glad for that. Breda wasn't glad when Mac figured out she killed Louie. Before knowing it was Mac, she had to steal from the Price Slice, but was released with a caution, though fingerprints were taken. This messed up Cleo's new relationship with Martine's son. He's a medical student, who stripped, but they decided to continue to date even if their families didn't get along. Mac wanted her to kill James, but Breda got him and Harry out of town with a vouchers.

Laurie kissed Sienna, which upset Sinead as she didn't want to lose her husband. Sinead also told Tony that she never wants Laurie to know they had an affair. Sienna is being manipulated by her work mentor, and even worse being harassed. Brody believed her, and their relationship is strong. At a party raising money for women hosted by the school, Sinead lost it, and Sienna was asked to leave. Harley and Tom were locked in together by Peri. Harley realized she liked Tom too. Peri, Tom, and Harley are now in a group romantic relationship. Liberty discovered that Sami was a pop star in Japan, though he made no money on the music. The video got shared with everyone in the community, and Liberty said she could date a guy like he was performing. At the party, Sami came out, and she and Liberty performed "Man I feel like a woman", with Liberty in Shania Twain garb. The two now are dating.

Maxine became so ill on New Year's Eve, as the alcohol she drank was dosed with GHB. She got better, but there was trouble both at the Dog in the Pond, and later for Grace. Thankfully Maxine became well and was released.

Juliet and Mac were getting closer, and Donna Marie was having to turn tricks due to Mac. Donna Marie manipulated Cindy, though Cindy told Donna Marie that Mac may use Juliet the same way she used her mother. The police came, and James still plans to get Cindy's home back. Right now, James and Harry share a room, Cindy and Marnie also share, and Romeo (and sometimes Juliet) are also i his small place. Lily became upset seeing Cindy and Romeo hug, but since they are all living together it was platonic. Romeo was just upset that he wasn't with Lily.

Kyle told Nancy that he wasn't good enough for her, and wanted to break up for that reason, as he didn't want to destroy their friendship. Mandy and Darren faced Mandy having surgery for her pregnancy. Darren was scared about losing her, and it was tough on them both.

Ste was being manipulated by Johnny, and was still angry with Misbah. He wasn't happy that Misbah and her family were at the dedication for Tegan's bench.

Those were the highlights for Hollyoaks February 2019. The school party again was insane, as we had things like Sinead getting too orange and getting help from Scott, as she was dressed as Jane Fonda. Jokes like Sinead as Jane Fonda and the Shania Twain references had to be for the older audience members, as most teens probably would have no idea about what Hollyoaks was doing.
