The tenth episode of Inside Salem premiered this weekend. Below are my thoughts.
The tenth
episode had an interview with Camila Banus (Gabi) and
the best scenes of
the week (with the debate and Haley/JJ watching, and material with Marlena/Victor about Sonny/Will). The second portion was an interview with Chandler Massey (Will) and Freddie Smith (Sonny.)
Camila talked about her character, her being a Latinx actress in daytime soaps and how she doesn't get the respect she deserves within that community. (This was rather interesting, though maddening, as I had no idea about how she couldn't even get into an industry event as the longest currently running Latinx person in daytime.) There wasn't any talk of her previous roles. She did say how if someone leaves Days without bad blood with the show, eventually they do return. Also the parallel between how she kept Leo away from Will and Sonny with the pillow was a call back to a scene with her and ex-Nick who was still good at that point.
Chandler and Freddie answered some questions and interacted with one another. They mentioned about how they also do everything with one take. There wasn't really any spoilers though from listening to this you know they are supposed to be the rooting couple.
I feel this episode was one that if this part of the canvas didn't interest you, you probably wouldn't be that interested. I prefer when the guests come from completely different stories, but who knows in a few months they may not even be interacting outside of their shared daughter.
