The seventh episode of Inside Salem premiered this week. Below are my thoughts.
The
seventh episode had an interview with Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) and
the best scenes of
the week (one with Ben and Ciara breaking up and another with JJ, Eve, Kayla, and Jennifer/Jack). The second portion was an interview
with Paul Telfer (Xander) and Greg Rikaart (Leo). All of the interviews were with Michael Fairman like last week.
The Melissa Reeves interview is primarily about Days, and a little bit about her life. She talked about the Jack and Jennifer Universal Studios wedding, and other highlights over the years. One thing I appreciated was how she said announcing the podcast was how like McDonald Carey does the show voiceover. She spoke about her individual relationship with both Mac and Frances Reid, as she started 34 years ago, (in 1985 - and I did like how Fairman didn't act like she was on the entire 34 years either.)
The
second part with Paul and Greg was about the story, and how Leo wanted to seduce Xander, and Xander has had no luck with women in the past, so who knows what he actually likes. There was a "fun" part, where the two tried to guess lines, correctly, and how you can recall the strangest things even years later. The part about "The Crucible" on Broadway was great, because who expects to hear about Ben Whishaw on a US soap podcast. :)
I'm glad this episode had no spoilers, as I really don't need to hear them on a podcast.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
