The Bold and the Beautiful celebrated Christmas on Christmas Day only. Below are my thoughts on this episode.
The Christmas episode focused on the Forrester mansion only. Taylor wasn't on, though Steffy was there with Kelly, Bill was mentioned as being with Will, but they were together off screen, and Justin/Emma weren't there either. Wyatt brought Sally, so they spent the day with his mother Quinn. Bridget came for a visit, and Vivienne and Julius were there to be with Maya, little Lizzie, and Xander. Xander brought Zoe as his date. Katie and Thorne went together as a married couple. Bridget and Hope were glad to see one another. Donna saved the day as she realized the over was convection, so the timing was not lost for dinner which made Pam and Charlie very happy. When everyone was assembled Hope said that she and Liam planned to name their daughter after Beth.
Even though it was Christmas, and not Thanksgiving, there was a part with voiceovers, with the characters discussing what they were thankful for in their lives. Some comments were serious and others were silly. Xander reads the Christmas story in his British accent, and the episode ends with a singing of "Joy to the World". The scene then flashes to the cast and crew. It was so quick, it was difficult to see everyone, which was a bit disappointing. I think I preferred last year's Christmas episode to this year, as Taylor not being there and Steffy being in a good mood without mentioning it was odd.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
