The third episode of Inside Salem premiered this week. Below are my thoughts.
The third episode had an interview with Marci Miller (Abby) about her departure from the show. The second portion was from "Day of Days" at Universal in LA.
Marci Miller was interviewed by Michael Fairman, as her last episodes as Abby aired in late November. She spoke about her future plans, a streaming show that she can't disclose the name of that will be on a major service, and acting in a movie starting in early 2019. Marci spoke about her time at Days, the friendships she made, and how during her last day of taping some people came specifically on their day off to say goodbye. The weekly clip was Abby getting committed and a Will and Sonny scene. It was also mentioned how Abby and Sonny interacted sometimes, but she may have only done one group scene with Will (Chandler Massey).
The second part at Day of Days seemed to be better suited for a video than a podcast. Actors were asked what fans said to them at the event. It was all quick audio clips, with a list made available of who spoke. The rest was with fans answering trivia questions, the fans weren't even mentioned by name, and since I don't know how viewers sound like this was a bit disappointing. Did the fans get anything for answering these questions? When I listen to a podcast, I like to know who I am hearing.
So my main takeaway was I wished this was a vlog instead of a podcast for episode three.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
