Friday, November 11 and Monday, November 14, 2016 marked another fashion show for Forrester Creations. Below are my thoughts on that event on "The Bold and the Beautiful".
Due to Eric (John McCook) being in the hospital though now recuperating at home watching the event online with Katie (Heather Tom), Quinn (Rena Sofer) had to arrange the fashion show. As per usual only Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) were supportive. Everyone else seemed not to care intensely or wanted her to fail. Maya (Karla Moseley) was more concerned about sparring with her half-sister Sasha (Felisha Cooper) than being lead model. At least that had nothing to do with sabotaging the company. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) decided he wouldn't allow his show stopper design on the runway. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was torn, but ultimately didn't put on the gown. Ridge was protesting the jewelry pass, which was where the models came out in simple black clothing to show off those designs. Quinn took matters into her own hands and wore the gown herself. Ridge as lead designer had to come out and at the end of Friday's episode they were snarking at one another while acting like they were getting along. Eric wondered what happened, but at least the show seemed successful. On Monday's show, the buyers admitted to liking how they showed the jewelry, wanted to purchase it for stores and vindicated Quinn. Ridge was not at all happy.
At the end of the day, I'm glad that B&B took the time to have another fashion show. We saw both behind the scenes and in front and the event. This moved future story and looking at clothes etc, can be a lot of fun.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
