Thoughts about "The Doctors" - February 1969

Another month's worth of episodes of "The Doctors" has aired on RetroTV. Below are my thoughts on what has aired for the month of February 1969.

Anna took at job at Hope Memorial as a Nurses Aide, as she waits for Ed to recover. He is doing better, but his heart is beating irregularly. She feels very proud to be having this position helping people.

Jody Lee finally convinced Matt that there was something wrong with Liz. There was a man's scarf at her apartment, and hadn't written anyone. Carolee was skeptical, but eventually was convinced by her friend as other than Mike and Jody Lee no other men have been to their apartment. Liz's father was unavailable and Phillip Townsend was acting bizarrely at the hospital. Matt and Jody Lee went to rescue Liz, while Phillip was having an emotional breakdown. He spoke about his daughter Melissande and how as a child she wondered why the trees were naked (it was autumn and the leaves had fallen.) Phillip's wife had died, he became controlling and the Melissande committed suicide.

Mike continued to flirt somewhat with Nancy and they went out to eat. She isn't ready yet to move on for her late husband. Steve took his job in the lab alongside Nick. They argue, but Althea explained Steve's behavior and perhaps in the future they'll become a good team.

Those were the highlights of February 1969. This month had a lot of scenes with Liz being held captive, which is partly why this summary is so short. Most of the other stories took a backseat, as everyone was discussing or trying to find her.
