This week on "The Bold and the Beautiful", Deacon (Sean Kanan) asked Quinn (Rena Sofer) to marry him. She was uncertain at first, but said yes.
Deacon spent some time with his former lover Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), which made Quinn jealous. He was just trying to help the mother of his daughter Hope, and wasn't interested in reigniting the flame with her. Quinn was concerned confronted Brooke. Even with Quinn's questionable behavior, Deacon still wants to be with her. He presented her a ring, and she was extremely surprised as she felt the only way she'd ever get married is if the fire went out of her. That would be when she was around 70 and someone felt that she could make a decent spouse. Deacon didn't care for that, and wasn't going to take away the engagement.
Hopefully, Quinn doesn't do anything to jeopardize the relationship before the wedding. Though knowing what we know about Quinn that seems unlikely. With Deacon's history, he could also mess up and then there is also the wild card of Brooke's alcohol issues. With the end of Hope (Kim Matula) and Wyatt's (Darin Brooks) marriage, it is interesting that Deacon and Quinn remain together. Wyatt may have lost a father-in-law, but gained a stepfather. The fact that they're the same man is one of those "soap opera" things. Anyway, I hope the wedding if it happens is entertaining and fun.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
