JJ (Casey Moss) will have a lot of explaining to do, as he slept with his girlfriend Paige's (True O'Brien) mother Eve (Kassie DePaiva). This Days of Our Lives story got me to thinking, so I decided to write about it tonight.
Eve was desperate for JJ and Paige to not become intimate. She even set JJ up with a hooker, though that failed to keep them apart. Depressed over not being able to have surgery to sing again, Eve fell into bed with JJ. This behavior didn't seem to be premeditated, but it is anyone's guess. What I find funny is that Paige forgave JJ nearly sleeping with her Aunt Theresa (Jenn Lilley) before they dated, but this may be the end of JJ and Paige for good.
When this was going on, the words "first the mother, then the daughter" came into my brain as JJ has joined a long line of male soap characters who've had sex with mothers and daughters. Victor was with involved with both Caroline and her daughter Kimberly. The most well known or at least significant male character who has been married to both a mother and a daughter on Days of Our Lives is Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). He's both Hope's father, and Hope's brother-in-law as he was married to both Hope's mother Addie and has been married to Hope's sister Julie for decades. (Of course, this is seldom referenced on screen as it is downright bizarre, but that's in the Horton family.)
In my opinion, JJ needs to do the smart thing and stay away from both Eve and Paige. Of course, I doubt this will happen in Salem. This will all come out and JJ's family will be furious. I'll wonder if like when Abby slept with EJ if JJ will seen as a victim and Eve the villain in this piece. This should cause even more animosity between Eve and Jennifer. We'll see how this story develops in the coming months and how everyone will react to what happened between JJ and Eve.
