Today the exciting news broke that Twin Peaks will be on Showtime as a limited-run series in 2016. This news was announced via video, which I've embedded.
The video just announces the station that will carry the 9-episode run program and the year. Thankfully Deadline.com has posted additional information about the production coming directly from Mark Frost. What is cool is that the duo of David Lynch and Mark Frost will be writing all of the episodes and Mark Frost will be directing all of them. Due to this, one could hope that it will seamlessly fit with the original episodes as they are the original creators of the show. This will be a continuation of the original story told in present day. Since production is only starting in 2015, more news will surely come in the following months.
